How to Host a great potluck

You love to get people together but feeding a crowd can sometimes take the fun out of event for the host.”Divide and conquer” says the writers at Marthstewart.com. It does take a little organization but, potlucks can be a great way to entertain and an opportunity to swap favorite recipes.

The best thing to do is set out a list that everyone invited can access. You can do this with a facebook group or a simple email. Depending on the size of your group, recommend 2-3 appetizers, 2-3 main dishes, 3 or more side dishes and 2 desserts. Don’t forget wines, spirits and beverages—this gives even the busiest among us an opportunity to share in the fun!

BLT Pasta

Sally Sherman BLT pasta salad is a crowd favorite! Elbow macaroni mixed with bacon bits, plum tomato, and lettuce—goes nicely as a side to beef, chicken, or pork.
